Why build a bed?

It was 2014 and I'd never owned a bed bigger than a twin. I finally had the space for one, but I was unhappy with the options available within my budget.

So I came up with a furniture experiment: build a bed using no metal fasteners or glue, and readily available materials. Why no fasteners? I wanted it to be easy to disassemble for transport (I move around a lot).

Idea: weave a bed out of wood and rope!
